Prison farms are nightmarish facilities that force incarcerated people to abuse animals for profit. On this AJA Lunchtime Live, we speak with two groups who are working to dismantle these highly problematic prison animal farm programs.

Calvin Neufeld of Evolve Our Prison Farms joins us to share their new report exposing the Correctional Service of Canada’s planned program to have prisoners intensively farming cows and thousands of goats to produce milk for export to China... Onyx Helper from The Raven Corps shares all about their new OP: 13 campaign boycotting corporations that source labor and products from U.S. prison farms.

We discussed the utter lack of rehabilitative value for prisoners working in these factory farms, and the serious harm they're doing to prisoners, animals, the environment, and surrounding communities. We also learn what we can do to help.
